Job Description
Summary: Lument provides comprehensive capital solutions for multifamily, affordable, seniors and health care real estate. They are currently seeking Analyst Interns to work with production, underwriting, and asset management support groups, providing analytical support and market research on commercial mortgage loan transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis for both debt and equity transactions, including review of property financial statements and assistance with variance analysis and related commentary as needed
- Participate in transactions from engagement through closing, including day-to-day interaction with internal teams, clients, agencies, investors, and other funding participants, and assist with post-closing loan setup and file organization
- Learn to review and analyze loan transaction packages, including closing documentation, inspections, and other third-party reports such as PCNAs and lien searches
- Assist with monitoring ongoing loan requirements by helping track inspections, deferred maintenance items, and other covenant-related follow-ups to support compliance
- Support the review and processing of disbursements from replacement reserves, repair escrows, and other collateral escrows in accordance with investor and departmental guidelines
- Begin to develop a basic understanding of Commercial Real Estate procedures and best practices through review of regulatory guides, underwriting and processing guidelines, and proprietary training materials
- Develop a foundational understanding of the end-to-end loan origination, underwriting, and servicing flow across LUMENT’s various product types
- Assist with site inspection documentation processes, including tracking inspection details, coordinating with borrowers and management agents, and delivering required information internally or to investors
- Participate in corporate and strategic initiatives as business needs arise
- Actively participate in lunch-and-learn sessions, training programs, and other LUMENT-sponsored events
- Work professionally and collaboratively with team members and coworkers

Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university in a business, finance, accounting, real estate, or related degree program is required
- Possess a strong desire for a career in commercial real estate
- Prior financial internship or work experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and list other relevant systems or software
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions; Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities
- Professional business image and excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) including a strong aptitude for accuracy and detail
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team

- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clearly articulated credit and business recommendations both verbally and in writing
