Railroad Crossing Technician

Summary: DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is a family-owned business dedicated to providing high-quality infrastructure and maintenance contracting services. The Railroad Crossing Technician will be responsible for applying vegetation control treatments at railroad crossings, ensuring safety and contract compliance throughout the process. Responsibilities: - Fill trucks with water/chemical mix - Perform minor weed eating with an industrial weed eater and chainsaw work (16" bar minimum) – approx. 25% of each day - Pull and roll up 300–500 feet of hose up to 32 times per day - Spray 8–10 railroad crossings daily - Safely drive and operate spray trucks between crossings - Call MTM for daily job briefings - Complete required end-of-day paperwork - Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent - 21+ years of age or older - Valid driver's license with at least 5 years of clean driving history - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and federal background check for railroad property access - Ability to travel away from home for 4–6 weeks at a time (DCS provides hotel accommodations and per diem) - Flexible schedule: Most work is Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm, with 10–12-hour shifts. Some weekend or night work may be required.
