2026 Blockchain Infrastructure Internship - NYC

Summary: Galaxy is a global leader in digital assets and data center infrastructure, delivering solutions that accelerate progress in finance and artificial intelligence. They are seeking an intern to become a technical and strategic expert on blockchain infrastructure and on-chain protocols, supporting the development of a blockchain infrastructure-focused operating business. Responsibilities: - Become one of Galaxy’s technical and strategic experts on blockchain infrastructure and on-chain protocols, including DeFi, Staking and Tokenization - Work across Galaxy’s infrastructure business, liaising with the Staking, DeFi, Tokenization and GK8 teams - Support the development of a blockchain infrastructure-focused operating business with a full suite of products, with a focus on creating net new products and processes - Learn about products associated with blockchain infrastructure services and assist in tactical Galaxy-wide “special situations” (across derivatives, credit, asset management, etc.) - Summarize research findings and propose new products and services in a clear, concise manner Required Qualifications: - Interest in and knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem - Critical thinking skills with a solutions-oriented mindset - Strong emotional intelligence and a comfort level communicating with others - Proactive and entrepreneurial spirit - Self-directed, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative research workflow - Comfort working across multiple workstreams and teams, in a whitespace environment - Demonstrated interest in building on-chain personal projects in areas like: Defi, Prop AMMs, Tokenization, And Consumer Crypto Applications - Undergraduate or master's students graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 - Eligible master's students must have fewer than two years of relevant, full-time work experience - Students enrolled in PhD, MBA, or JD programs are not eligible to apply Preferred Qualifications: - Pursuing an degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, economics or engineering - Strong Interest in AI and Agentic Workflows - Smart contract proficiency: Solidity, Rust, etc Required Skills: Blockchain infrastructure, Smart contract proficiency Important Skills: Cryptocurrency ecosystem knowledge, Quantitative field degree Nice-to-Have Skills: Proactive mindset, Self-directed, Curiosity, Comfort in fast-paced environment, Critical thinking, Emotional intelligence Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Benefits: Opportunities to learn about the Crypto industry, Free daily snacks and weekly lunches, Smart, entrepreneurial and fun colleagues, Employee Resource Groups, Benefits may vary based on location.
