Accounting Intern

Summary: Western Midstream is seeking an Accounting Intern for a 10-week internship that provides accounting support to multiple departments at their Corporate Office. The role will focus on gaining exposure to various facets of the energy industry and assisting departments with day-to-day activities and special projects. Responsibilities: - Gain exposure to multiple facets of the energy industry from both corporate and operational accounting departments including internal controls, internal audit, financial accounting, financial reporting, revenue, and property - Assist assigned department in day-to-day activities and special projects as assigned Required Qualifications: - Must be authorized to work in the United States of America - Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 - High level of enthusiasm and professionalism - Ability to quickly adapt and work within multiple teams - Awareness of and demonstration of Western Midstream's Core Values - Ability to apply independent judgment to implement practical applications of education - Ability to prepare and present the results of research and analysis, verbally and in writing - Enrollment in Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - Candidates must have completed their sophomore or junior year of an Accounting degree program prior to the start of their employment - The ideal candidate will have completed Intermediate Accounting I and II Required Skills: Accounting knowledge Important Skills: Research, analysis, Presentation skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Professionalism, Teamwork
