Field Service Professional - Rochester, NY

Summary: Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, is a leading smart home company in the United States, dedicated to redefining the home experience with intelligent products and services. The Field Service Professional will be responsible for installing and servicing smart home technology while also identifying and selling upgraded solutions to customers. This role combines technical expertise with sales opportunities to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. Responsibilities: - Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems - Evaluating customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on-site - Training homeowners on how to use their new system to protect their families - Benefiting from consistent coaching and leadership training to move up within our national organization Required Qualifications: - A valid driver's license and a good driving record - Ability to successfully pass post-offer background investigation and licensing requirements per applicable law - Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs - Ability to climb ladders (up to 14 feet, including ability when carrying tools to meet weight capacity requirements for company-approved ladders, i.e. 375 lbs) and work in confined spaces like attics - Comfortable bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales - Experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar Required Skills: Technical Aptitude, Consultative Sales Important Skills: Customer Education, Sales Mindset Nice-to-Have Skills: Customer First Attitude Benefits: Comprehensive, Paid Training, Zero Commute, Work-Life Balance, Fully Equipped, The Perks, Adventure
