Job Description
Summary: Visionworks of America is a company dedicated to providing quality eye care and eyewear solutions. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Tech to prioritize tray processing, validate documents, and ensure cleanliness of equipment while complying with quality management systems and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize tray processing flow as dictated by tray color or worksheet priority
- Prioritize backlogged tray flow processing using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
- Validate correct documents are in tray
- Confirm physical Breakage-to-Breakage Slip, sort and separate trays for further processing
- Enter breakage data using Innovations software, print new work order, prepare tray for further processing
- Ability to communicate and escalate with peers and principles
- Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility
- Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), as well as regulations promoting a safe and healthy work place environment
- Verify, scan out and wrap uncut jobs from surface inspection, to be shipped to stores
- Conduct process check verification for variables data based on Manufacturing Process Control Plan and record results digitally
- Enter production data on production boards, perform section start, and end counts as required
- Ensures all jobs are correctly scanned, wrapped and sorted for shipping to stores
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read English in order to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division
- Ability to think logically in following procedures and instruction
- General problem solving abilities
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers to handle, feel, pick or pinch, and talk or hear most of the time
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms occasionally
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays
