Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Intern

Summary: The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) is offering a summer internship within the Manufacturing Advancement division. This role involves supporting the integration of AI, ML, and AR/VR technologies into manufacturing programs and provides hands-on experience in innovative technology applications. Responsibilities: - Support the development and integration of AI, ML, and AR/VR technologies into Manufacturing Advancement programs - Collaborate with mentor and team to establish actionable internship goals - Assist with projects that advance innovation and technology adoption in regional manufacturing - Contribute creative ideas and problem-solving approaches to technical challenges - Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Required Qualifications: - Eligibility to access controlled unclassified information (CUI) and export controlled data - Must meet applicable federal requirements, including U.S. person status where required - Be a high school graduate (may be graduating Spring 2026) with plans to attend college in Fall 2026 - Be a current undergraduate or graduate student - Be a recent college graduate (within the past 12 months) - Submit ONE letter of recommendation as part of the application process Required Skills: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Augmented/Virtual Reality Important Skills: Project Planning, Collaboration
