Job Description

Summary: TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. They are seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of work performed by technicians, as well as to perform inspections post-install to guarantee compliance with client specifications. Responsibilities: - Ensure timeliness, completeness and accuracy of work performed by technicians - Perform inspections post install to ensure compliance to client specifications - Complete reviews to ensure proper restoration of area - Capture photos and attach to the inspection report - Perform white line excavations and collect locate data - Verify the system is complying with all safety requirements - Perform work in a safe manner, following all OSHA and company guidelines - Prioritize, organize and efficiently complete tasks to meet deadlines - Work in a variety of outdoor environments - Drive Company vehicle responsibly and safely - Conduct and attend meetings as needed - Perform other duties as requested Required Qualifications: - Prior telecommunications industry experience preferred - Experience calling in Bluestakes a plus - Experience with underground locates and the ability to use a compass for directional instructions - Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to utilize hand tools for intended purposes - Ability to travel daily and open to a variety of schedules - Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs - Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color and accurately utilize measuring devices - Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds) - Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time - Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools - A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely.
