Job Description
Summary: Taco Inc. is a family-owned and operated company committed to its employees, providing tools for productive lives. They are seeking an Assembler A to perform assembly and packaging duties with minimal supervision, ensuring quality and efficiency in production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Works from drawings, specifications, travel tickets, and weekly production schedule
- Uses protractor, squares, rulers, power wrenches, hand drills and other common tools
- Check weekly production sheet for units to be processed
- Study drawings and specifications and perform prescribed assembly operations. Uses hydrostatic test equipment to check completed units prior to QC and AI Inspections
- Performs basic maintenance work, as needed
- Monitors quality of work, makes corrective adjustments and reports equipment malfunctions, defective materials or other unusual conditions to Supervisor
- Uses material handling equipment, as needed, to move heavy weight materials
- Maintain work areas in neat, clean and orderly condition and observe all safety regulations and procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a fabrication environment and specifically with tube bundle and heat exchanger fabrication expertise
- Use of drawings, specifications, travel tickets and production schedules; use of adjustable measuring instruments where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively apply to assigned work
- Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) system to access production and resource data
- Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, and including standing and lifting
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes
- Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices
