Baseball Stats and analytics Intern

Summary: The Sonoma Stompers Baseball Club is a competitive summer collegiate baseball team that emphasizes player development and competitive success. They are seeking a Baseball Stats and Analytics Intern responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting game and player data to support in-game decision-making and player development. Responsibilities: - Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting game and player data to provide insights that guide in-game decision-making and player development - Maintaining statistical records - Utilizing tracking tools (Trackman & Synergy) - Collaborating with coaches and players to support performance enhancement - Preparing reports and presentations for team management Required Qualifications: - Strong Analytical and Statistics skills, with experience in identifying trends and interpreting data - Understanding of baseball, able to score games - Knowledge of baseball analytics and the ability to translate the data to coaches/ players/ staff - Familiarity with baseball analytics is a strong advantage - Written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience with sports data or analytics tools is a plus Required Skills: Analytical skills, Baseball knowledge, Baseball analytics Important Skills: Data interpretation Nice-to-Have Skills: analytics tools, Communication skills, Team collaboration
