Job Description
Summary: Solstice Advanced Materials is a leading global specialty materials company that advances science for smarter outcomes. As a Process Engineer I (Metallurgical), you will optimize manufacturing processes, collaborate with teams to integrate process design, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process design into manufacturing operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Conduct analysis and simulations to optimize manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams
- Process control (SPC/SQC) and statistical analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Recent college graduate to 2 years' experience in an engineering field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Six Sigma Green belt (able to complete within the first 12 months)
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics is preferred
- Understanding of physical Metallurgy principles and methodologies
- Knowledge of basic statistics and statistical process control
- Experience with identifying process changes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work without guidance or supervision
- Ability to accurately identify patterns to solve problems
