Production Associate

Summary: Red River Commodities is a leading producer of natural, sunflower-based food products. The Production Associate assists machine operators in the efficient production of sunflower butter, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while maintaining a clean work environment. Responsibilities: - Operate production machinery, including industrial roaster, grinders, mixers, and packaging equipment, in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) - Monitor machinery to ensure proper function and report any issues to maintenance or supervision - Assist in raw material handling, including loading sunflower seeds into equipment and monitoring ingredient flow - Ensure production targets are met by working efficiently and maintaining a consistent workflow - Assist the quality assurance team by inspecting products for quality and consistency, removing any defective items - Follow all quality control guidelines and document results as required - Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required - Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) - Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work areas to maintain a sanitary production environment - Participate in end-of-shift clean-up and assist with deep cleaning as needed - Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations - Participate in team meetings and provide input for continuous improvement Required Qualifications: - Prior experience in a food production or manufacturing environment - Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Important Skills: Food production experience, Mechanical aptitude, Attention to detail Nice-to-Have Skills: Safety compliance, Team collaboration Benefits: On-demand pay available through Tapcheck, Paid time off, Paid Holidays, 401k & company match, Profit Sharing, Employee Assistance Program
