Job Description
Summary: Osaic is seeking a detail-oriented and eager-to-learn individual to join their Finance Business Intelligence team. This junior-level role supports the team by assisting with data preparation, routine reporting, and basic analysis used across the Finance organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with updating and maintaining basic financial reports and spreadsheets in Excel
- Support routine data checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare data extracts or simple visualizations for use by senior analysts
- Help maintain dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) under guidance
- Perform basic SQL queries or data pulls (training provided if needed)
- Assist with documenting processes, data definitions, and recurring report steps
- Support team members on ad-hoc data requests and administrative reporting tasks
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to learn business processes and data flows
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts
- Interest in learning SQL, Power BI, and data visualization tools
- Strong attention to detail when working with numerical data
- Ability to follow established processes and ask questions when uncertain
- Comfortable working collaboratively with multiple team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Introductory experience with Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in finance, analytics, or reporting
- Curiosity about financial services and how financial data is used in decision-making
