Network Infrastructure Intern - Data Center Engineering (NAE)

Summary: Leidos is seeking a university student to join their CIO organization within TC&SD, supporting the Data Center & Network Services team. This internship provides hands-on experience in enterprise data center switching initiatives, allowing students to gain exposure to modern switching platforms and data center modernization efforts. Responsibilities: - Support ongoing data center switching initiatives within the NAE team - Assist with Out-of-Band (OOB) management switch replacements utilizing Arista platforms - Contribute to Arista switching build-out for an iSCSI enclave supporting service migrations - Support the design and implementation of new Oracle RAC infrastructure leveraging Arista switching - Assist with switch configuration, validation, testing, and documentation activities - Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts - Collaborate with network engineers to ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance - Develop and maintain technical documentation and implementation procedures - Gain exposure to enterprise data center operational processes and change management workflows Required Qualifications: - Actively enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate program - Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related technical field - US citizenship required - Foundational understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching) - Familiarity with enterprise switching concepts - Strong problem-solving skills and technical curiosity - Ability to work independently in a remote team environment Required Skills: Networking fundamentals, Enterprise switching concepts Important Skills: Arista platforms, Oracle RAC infrastructure Nice-to-Have Skills: Technical curiosity, Problem-solving skills, Remote team collaboration Benefits: Health and Wellness programs, Income Protection, Paid Leave, Retirement
