Road Logistics Operations Specialist

The Road Logistics Operations Specialist will manage customer shipments, coordinate with carriers, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations while delivering high-quality customer service. Responsibilities: - Communicate with shippers via phone and email to confirm shipment details - Dispatch pickups and ensure accurate scheduling for each shipment - Update and track shipment statuses, proactively resolving delays - Monitor shipments to ensure they move according to plan and meet timeline expectations - Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with customers and carriers - Deliver high-quality customer service to maintain strong customer relationships - Collaborate closely with various carriers (dry van, flatbed, temperature-controlled) - Serve as the liaison between shippers, carriers, and customers to provide practical, tactical solutions for daily operational challenges - Prepare required documentation and ensure all transportation activities comply with regulatory guidelines and internal standards Required Qualifications: - Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field - 1+ years of experience in freight forwarding - Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills - Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of key mode-specific guidelines (dry van, reefer, flatbed, expedite, LTL) is a plus Required Skills: Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding Experience, Mode-Specific Guidelines Important Skills: MS Excel, MS Outlook Nice-to-Have Skills: Coordination Skills, Communication Skills, Problem-Solving Skills Benefits: Health and welfare benefits, A 401k retirement savings plan, Tuition reimbursement, Incentive compensation for eligible roles
