Summary: II-VI Aerospace & Defense is a global leader in lasers and engineered materials. They are seeking an Engineering & Technology Intern to support the R&D team in the design and evaluation of high data rate optical transceivers. Responsibilities: - Supporting R&D team in the design and evaluation of high data rate optical transceivers Required Qualifications: - Undergrad/BS/MS/PhD - Majors: [EE] - Knowledge and understanding of analog and digital circuits, high speed signal integrity, signal measurement techniques and equipment, and SW programming with e.g. Python - Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date - Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed - Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and time management - Good written and verbal communication - This role will be based on-site at Milmont facility in Fremont, CA - Regular use of a computer is expected - Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings - Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents - Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing - All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
