Job Description
Summary: HLW is a global, award-winning architecture and design firm that values exceptional design and exceptional people. They are looking for highly motivated individuals to join their New York City office for a Summer 2026 internship, providing hands-on experience in Architectural and Interiors Studios.
Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with technical and design teams to meet deliverables for client projects
- Participate in studio and project-based meetings
- Create and update schematic, design development and construction document drawings
- Create and edit in-house renderings
- Assist with research, site documentation, building code or sustainability tasks
- Attend site visits for ongoing projects in construction
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Architecture or Interior Design
- Must have completed 3 years at the undergraduate level or 1 year at the graduate level prior to the internship
- Technical understanding of design philosophy and capability to develop strategies to incorporate into design
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Experience working in Revit
- Proficiency in Adobe CS Suite, 3D modeling software (Rhino, SketchUp) and Enscape is a plus
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
