Job Description

Summary: Heravi Peace Institute is seeking a Health & Wellness Intern to support outreach activities in Carbon and Emery Counties. The intern will work with faculty to plan events, engage in research, and contribute to various community-focused publications. Responsibilities: - Work cooperatively with USU faculty to plan, organize, present, promote, and supervise outreach activities, including a spring 2026 Take Back Day - Attend team meetings, take notes, plan events, and other related duties - Engage in research activities with faculty mentor, such as collect, transcribe and analyze data - Publish fact sheets, and contribute to reports, policy, briefs, journal articles, and/or other outputs including resource guides based on community needs, presentations, social media content - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Willing to learn - Desire to help others - Reliable access to transportation to and from the work sites located in Carbon or Emery Counties Important Skills: Research skills, Event planning, Data analysis Nice-to-Have Skills: Communication skills, Teamwork, Adaptability
