Job Description
Summary: Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is dedicated to safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste as part of the nation's largest radioactive waste cleanup. The Co-op Program offers students hands-on experience in the Conduct of Operations and Human Performance Improvement Department, where they will assist in various tasks related to HPI training and operational metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Entering "Points of Interest" labels on 3D models to assist in user identification of components
- Assist in the hands on portions of Human Performance Improvement (HPI) training
- Assist in the monthly development of Conduct of Operations and HPI metrics
- Assist in the collection and input of Quick Card observations
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- At least 18 years of age
- Maintain continuous full-time enrollment at Columbia Basin College (CBC). Full-time status is determined by the requirements of CBC
- Must have maintained a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Enrolled in a degree program that relates to H2C work, with emphasis in specific disciplines that support the cleanup mission and is relevant to the field of study
- Willing and able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during the academic year and up to 40 hours a week during breaks
