Early Career Hydrogeologist

Summary: GSI Water Solutions, Inc. is seeking an energetic and motivated Early-Career Hydrogeologist to join their passionate team in the water industry. This role involves collecting and analyzing hydrogeologic data, maintaining records, and assisting with project management tasks under the guidance of senior staff. Responsibilities: - Collect hydrogeologic data, including aquifer test data and soil, water, and geologic samples - Maintain accurate records of field observations, data collection activities, and data from laboratory analyses - Write technical field reports and assist in the preparation of technical reports, figures, and graphs - Oversee field explorations, drilling activities, and water well construction projects - Coordinate scheduling and communication with well owners, laboratories, and other parties - Perform routine technical analyses with supervision and oversight - Research and review published geologic reports, papers, and literature - May participate in project management tasks such as project budgeting and proposal writing - May manage smaller projects or assist with tasks on larger projects to develop project management skills Required Qualifications: - Master's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science hydrogeology, geology, engineering or related field plus a minimum of 1 years of professional experience - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, hydrogeology, geology, engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 3 years of professional experience - Current and valid driver's license and clean driving record Preferred Qualifications: - Professional geologist or certified hydrogeologist license within the state that work will be performed is preferred - Experience in water resources planning, water supply development, and/or groundwater management in California - Advanced coursework in hydrogeology - Experience in groundwater supply, municipal production well design, construction, and testing, Hydrogeologic assessments and basin characterization, and/or water resource management projects, including preparation of technical reports and proposals and budgets - Thorough knowledge of groundwater flow and well hydraulics Required Skills: Hydrogeology, Data analysis, Field investigations Important Skills: Groundwater management, Technical report writing Nice-to-Have Skills: Project management, Communication skills, Teamwork, Organizational skills, Emotional intelligence Benefits: Flexible/hybrid work schedules, 401k with employer match, up to 4%, Potential for annual bonus based on company performance., Employee-Owned company through Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), Highly competitive medical, dental, vision insurance plans for employees and their families with alternative care coverage included in medical plans., Access to medical and dependent-care flexible spending accounts, Employer paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance., 5 weeks of paid time off annually (pro-rated the first year based on start date), Paid time off for certification and licensing exams, Paid attendance at professional conferences in support of career development, Paid memberships in professional organizations, Reimbursement for professional registrations and renewals, Cell phone stipend to assist with the cost of using a personal cell phone for business purposes, Discounts on Carhartt and Danner clothing and footwear
