Financial Analyst

Summary: Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Financial Analyst to their Corporate Synergies team in the Philly Metro Region. The Financial Analyst supports the Controller with month-end reporting, financial analysis, and special projects across multiple entities. Responsibilities: - Assist with month‑end close and preparation of financial management reports - Analyze income statements and balance sheets, identifying trends and anomalies - Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support ongoing financial workflows - Learn key accounting workstreams (AR, AP, direct bill, etc.) and understand how transactions impact financial statements - Partner with the Controller and team to ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly results - Progress toward handling standard reporting and analysis independently within 3–6 months Required Qualifications: - Strong Excel skills and ability to communicate analysis clearly - Understanding of GAAP and general accounting workflows - Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills - Ability to learn and work independently over time - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 1–4 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis - Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn tools like PowerPoint, Access, or Visio Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar systems is a plus - Flexibility during month‑end and budget cycles Required Skills: Excel, GAAP, Financial analysis Important Skills: Applied Epic, Microsoft Office Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical mindset, Problem-solving skills Benefits: Comprehensive range of health-related benefit options including medical, vision, and dental, 401(k) with company match, Company paid life insurance, STD, LTD, Generous PTO policy starting at 18 days per year plus 10 paid holidays & 2 floating holidays
