Cash Management Specialist

Summary: First American is a leading company in the mortgage servicing industry, focused on providing superior technology and personalized services. The Cash Management Specialist is responsible for processing payments accurately and timely, resolving exception items, and assisting with audit requests and departmental documentation. Responsibilities: - Process transactions accurately and timely in accordance with departmental and investor guidelines - Ensures exception items are identified and resolved in a timely manner - Document the system with comments regarding disposition of work items - Identify, research, and resolve issues - Make recommendations for the improvement of controls and processes within the department - Assist with internal or external audit requests - Communicate any trends and / or problems with recommended solutions to management - Assist with the creation and maintenance of department documentation; including, but not limited to, policies and procedures - Other duties and tasks, as assigned Required Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent - 1-3 years of experience - Strong PC skills and knowledge of MS Office products and company operating systems - Analytical - Problem-solving skills; organized - Customer service, team and goal oriented - Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of department - Good verbal and written communication skills - Establishes effective working relationships at the work group level Preferred Qualifications: - Financial Services Industry experience a plus Required Skills: Financial Services experience, MS Office proficiency Important Skills: Analytical skills, Problem-solving skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Customer service orientation, communication skills, Team oriented, Organizational skills Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO/paid sick leave, Employee stock purchase plan
