Full Stack Engineer Intern

Summary: Delta Dental of Missouri is seeking a Full Stack Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in building and enhancing web-based applications for innovative insurance products. The intern will support new product launches, system integrations, and application enhancements while developing programming skills and adhering to security protocols. Responsibilities: - Provide programming support for insurance products and services on web-based applications - Handle Level 0 or Level 1 support for insurance products - Handle maintenance work and new project development, including new product launches, application enhancements, and interfaces with internal and external systems - Ensure strict adherence to security protocols - Develop and modify complex computer programs - Conduct problem analysis and system design for application development - Perform detailed analysis of requirements and software specifications - Research, write, document, test, debug, and implement programs - Stay updated on modern application development practices, frameworks, and tools - Maintain technical documentation - Work closely with the IT team to achieve departmental objectives - Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis - Develop and maintain unit testing scripts Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree or a recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum - Basic understanding of Public Cloud Platforms Azure/AWS and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and QA automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PlayWright) is a plus - Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience programming/scripting languages such as Python, C#, NodeJs, Angular, React, Java, or JavaScript is a plus Required Skills: Python Important Skills: C#, NodeJs, Angular, React, Java, JavaScript, Agile, AWS, Azure, DevOps tools, Git, Jira Nice-to-Have Skills: Problem-solving, Communication, Teamwork
