BI Engineering - Internship

Summary: Chipotle Mexican Grill is cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food with wholesome ingredients. They are looking for a BI Engineering Intern who will assist in building and maintaining Enterprise Grade Reporting Solutions using Power BI, while also analyzing data to support key business initiatives. Responsibilities: - Design, build and support Enterprise Grade Power BI Reporting Solutions used by senior leadership, restaurant support centers, field leadership and restaurants - Collaborating with other BI Engineers around data/table structures to optimize Power BI Dashboards and other self-service needs - Build prototypes for demonstration and illustration purposes for peer groups, business partners, or senior leaders, then initiate those solutions into production - Supporting peers and stakeholders through troubleshooting and analysis of results - Documenting and communicating technical specifications to ensure proper optimized techniques, queries, and final deliverables were understood and incorporated into data and analytics processes - Look for opportunities to improve current processes or find efficiencies - Participate in architecture design, discussions, and code reviews - Maintaining high customer satisfaction through implementation, investigation, analysis, training, and relationship-building efforts - Clearly communicate and drive discussions on data and insights, context, and implications with business and technology partners Required Qualifications: - Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations - Ability to understand, analyze, and articulate complex business questions through data visualization and reporting - Effectively handle multiple projects and ad hoc requests simultaneously - Have excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills - Manage financial information in a confidential and professional manner - Team player who can take direction and action upon it effectively - Be highly motivated and flexible Preferred Qualifications: - Strong working knowledge of Power BI and T-SQL is preferred Required Skills: Power BI, T-SQL Important Skills: Analytical skills, Data visualization Nice-to-Have Skills: Communication skills
