Job Description

Summary: Carlex Glass America, LLC is seeking an Intern Engineering to assist in various engineering tasks. The role involves participating in root cause analysis, developing reliability analysis methods, and providing technical support to enhance maintenance services. Responsibilities: - Participate in the root cause analysis of failures and drive implementation of corrective actions - Help to originate, develop, and facilitate analysis methods for determining the reliability of components and equipment - Monitor the execution and effectiveness of the PM programs, identify any deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as necessary - Provide technical support to cultivate a proactive maintenance service department - Utilize the equipment downtime database to identify trends and premature failure issues, and implement corrective actions to address and track progress - Design, develop, and implement equipment changes that will correct reliability, improve productivity, improve efficiencies, and increase quality product yield - Attend daily meetings to drive immediate continuous improvement and compliance to productivity goals Required Qualifications: - Participate in the root cause analysis of failures and drive implementation of corrective actions - Help to originate, develop, and facilitate analysis methods for determining the reliability of components and equipment - Monitor the execution and effectiveness of the PM programs, identify any deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as necessary - Provide technical support to cultivate a proactive maintenance service department - Utilize the equipment downtime database to identify trends and premature failure issues, and implement corrective actions to address and track progress - Design, develop, and implement equipment changes that will correct reliability, improve productivity, improve efficiencies, and increase quality product yield - Attend daily meetings to drive immediate continuous improvement and compliance to productivity goals - Regular and predictable attendance required - Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities - Experience with AC and DC variable speed drives - Experience with low voltage and high voltage AC/DC circuits - Experience with Fanuc robots and robotic cells a plus - Familiar with PFMEA, RCFA, Pareto analysis, 5Y, %s, SPC, CMS, and standardized work instructions a plus - Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Excellent Communication Skills - Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis - Excellent Analytical Skills - Effective navigation through company IT system - Live by example the Carlex Values – Safety, Accountability, Results Oriented, Team Approach, Customer Focused, and strong Integrity and Ethics - Additional responsibility is to be able to teach these values to others and encourage them to join the team Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Fanuc robots and robotic cells a plus - Familiar with PFMEA, RCFA, Pareto analysis, 5Y, %s, SPC, CMS, and standardized work instructions a plus Required Skills: AC, DC drives, AC/DC circuits, Fanuc robots Important Skills: PFMEA, RCFA, Pareto analysis, SPC, Microsoft Office Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical Skills, Ethics, Communication Skills, Problem solving, Teamwork, Integrity
