Associate Procurement Agent

Summary: The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Procurement Agent to join their Supplier Management Component Repair team in Seattle, WA. This role will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul team by engaging with various disciplines to support sourcing strategies, negotiations, and documentation of contracts and agreements. Responsibilities: - The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills - Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required - Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations, and documentation of contracts and agreements - Follows Boeing procurement processes to issue purchase orders to suppliers for parts and services - Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities - Supports pricing and lead-time negotiations for maintenance, repair, and overhaul services - Collaboration with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customers’ requirements Required Qualifications: - 1+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes - 1+ years of experience in the use of Microsoft Excel to gather, format, and manipulate data for the purpose of performing both business related and technical analysis - 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines - Ability to travel 10-20% of the time Preferred Qualifications: - 3 or more years of related work experience and an equivalent combination of education and experience - Bachelor's degree or higher - 2+ years of experience using procurement software and tools such as One SAP - Experience in strategic decision making - Experience in a self-directed role - Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role Required Skills: Procurement experience, Supply Chain processes, Microsoft Excel Important Skills: Procurement software Nice-to-Have Skills: Self-directed role, Communication skills, Problem-solving skills, Customer focus, Strategic decision making Benefits: Health insurance, Flexible spending accounts, Health savings accounts, Retirement savings plans, Life and disability insurance programs, Programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work
