Student Nurse Intern

Summary: Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system that empowers its associates to reimagine healthcare together. The Student Nurse Intern will assist in nursing orders, observe patient status, and support care plan development under the guidance of a preceptor. Responsibilities: - Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs - Observe patient status and responses - Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff - Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations - Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services Required Qualifications: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
