Summer Law Clerk

Summary: AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is looking for a Summer Law Clerk to work closely with their Litigation Department. This clerkship will provide an introduction to the legal exposures in the insurance industry, with opportunities for professional development and interaction with stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Participate in professional development opportunities such as preparing presentations - Attend presentations given by senior leadership on various topics relating to the insurance industry - Provide formal written communication and documentation of analyses - Actively participate in discussions - Conduct legal research and prepare memos on relevant topics - Review and digest case files Required Qualifications: - Rising 1L or 2L (graduating May 2027 or 2028) - Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy and professionalism - Ability to build and maintain effective relationships - Effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions - Good negotiation skills - Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply Preferred Qualifications: - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Required Skills: Legal research, Analytical skills Important Skills: Interpersonal communication, Written communication Nice-to-Have Skills: Microsoft Office, Negotiation skills
