Security Officer - TWIC Verified Patrol Armed

As a Security Officer - TWIC Verified Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will safeguard clients in various industries, conduct routine patrols, deter security-related incidents, and support access control while maintaining a customer-service mindset. Responsibilities: - Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a logistics and distribution location - Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting requirements - Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, yards, docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior - Monitor vehicle and trailer movements by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials and/or documentation as directed, and directing drivers and visitors to the appropriate areas - Complete written and/or electronic reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision in a timely manner Required Qualifications: - Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience - Have a TSA issued TWIC - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only Preferred Qualifications: - CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire - Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred - Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred Required Skills: TWIC certification, Law enforcement experience Important Skills: CPR certification, First Aid certification Nice-to-Have Skills: Customer service, Computer proficiency, lift 20 lbs Benefits: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more., Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities., Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance., Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.
