Job Description

As a Security Officer - Part-Time Credential Screener, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, conducting screenings and maintaining a visible presence to discourage security-related incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
- Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or deliveries at designated entry points in accordance with post orders, using approved screening methods and equipment as directed
- Monitor entrances and staging areas for unusual activity, report concerns promptly, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
- Verify identification and visitor authorization, issue temporary credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and reports related to screening activity and incidents
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including interior checkpoints and perimeter areas as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site
Required Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
