Security Officer - Hospital Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer - Hospital in Erie, PA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Responsibilities: - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities - Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents and identify unusual conditions - Monitor access points and public areas, assist with wayfinding, and help maintain orderly traffic flow in lobbies, entrances, and high-activity treatment areas - Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed - Document patrol observations, incident details, and policy violations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts Required Qualifications: - Be able to work in a hospital environment with vaccines - Be able to work in a hospital environment with a morgue - Be 21+ years of age - Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only Preferred Qualifications: - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred Required Skills: Security procedures, Emergency response Important Skills: Customer service Nice-to-Have Skills: Communication, Teamwork Benefits: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more., Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities., Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance., Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.
