Security Officer - Armed Downtown Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Downtown Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, conducting routine patrols and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. Responsibilities: - Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies within a financial institution location - Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, company policies, and local regulations; complete required checks and documentation - Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations - Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required - Control access to restricted areas, monitor cameras and alarm panels when assigned, and complete incident reports and daily activity logs with clear, timely details Required Qualifications: - Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience - Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED - Be 21+ years of age - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law - Participate in industry-specific security training programs - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only Required Skills: Armed security experience, Law enforcement experience, Military experience Important Skills: Security training programs Nice-to-Have Skills: Customer service, Clear communication, Problem-solving, Documentation skills Benefits: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more., Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities., Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future., Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.
